Tollway Inn of Beloit

Leaving Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. When we checked in, there was a strong mildew smell in the lobby, and I was hoping our room would not have the same issue. Unfortunately, when we entered our room, the mildew smell was even stronger. The staff was friendly, but the cleanliness of the room was a major concern. The white towels appeared grayish, and one of the towels had a strong greasy smell, as if it had been used to wipe down a dirty or greasy surface. There were only two towels for three adults and just one washcloth. There were also no extra pillows. Two of the pillows had large, circular yellow stains and did not appear to be clean. Another pillow had hair on it and a large black streak. There was also no shampoo provided in the room. Because we arrived late and were extremely tired, we decided to stay rather than try to find another hotel. However, we were so uncomfortable that we slept in our clothes and used only the top comforter. We left very early the next morning. While the staff was friendly, the condition and cleanliness of the room were not acceptable. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses the cleanliness, linens, and housekeeping issues.

I had a reservation on Aug 14th but couldn't check in. I filed a claim with Travel Guard, and they said the Hotel said I checked in. Poor service trying to resolve the matter with Tollway; the receptionist couldn't understand what I was saying and hung up.

Decent for traveling very helpful

I dont think expedia should have it as an option if this keeps happening! We should have taken pictures, but we didn't think about this review at the time, just needed a place to rest.

could have had few decent picnic tables in the grass in front of the room, that would have been nice.

Location was right off of the interstate exit so easy to get to. Room was very spacious & clean. Shower curtain needed to be washed as it had mildew at the bottom. Some of the renovations should have been neater. ex: silicone in bathroom was wide & sloppy.

The room was clean but had a strong odor of cleaning chemicals. The room itself was quiet and the AC and fridge worked.

Location is the only redeeming quality! Staff was extremely rude over minor issues, smoking had obviously occurred in the room - major odor. Drapes held together with duct tape, so dirty!!!

Not far from the expressway and fairly cheap compared to others in the area Very seedy, tired and old facilities. Curtain falling off the rails, holes in the bedspreads, horrible pillows, oldest & cheapest towels I have ever seen in a hotel. It’s a tired building on its very last legs.
