The hotel room was clean and nice....but the area it was in was very sketchy...homeless people all around the property and the whole town is very run down. Hotel did have a buffet breakfast that was actually good.

-Credit card security by Staff is weak. The Unacceptable laxness with which credit card information entrusted to Holiday Express Inn made me uncomfortable. - Here's the story: A gentleman in line ahead of me made a purchase from the "Snack Bar" located at the check-in desk. The clerk asked him if he wished to pay cash or 'CHARGE IT TO HIS ROOM". The man gave an (incorrect) room number. The clerk asked him if his name was the same name they had registered to the room. Apparently, he was HONEST ENOUGH to correct his mistake. He said, "No, not my name". If he hadn't been honest, somebody else's credit card would have been charged. The clerk needed to verify who he was and what room he was actually registered in. -- This careless treatment of the $250 hold put on my credit card for "incidentals" made me reconsider staying at Holiday Inn Express again. I don't want to waste my time disputing unauthorized credit card charges.

Checkin was quick and smooth. The staff were friendly and engaging. The room was a good size, perfect temperature, clean and comfortable. It was fairly quiet. The hot breakfast wasn't bad. Plenty of choices between cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes, eggs, and protein. Parking was also great. A lot of parking was available for how many guests there were.

Clean Swimming pool was close off and staff told me there was no pool instead of telling me it was close and the reason it was close
