my credit card number was stolen there

Everything was great. Breakfast was delicious All good! My friends stayed on the third floor and had to call bc the construction was so loud on that floor early in the morning but we didn’t have any problems at all.

There was construction on our floor that would have been nice to know about beforehand but otherwise it was clean and the breakfast was fresh and hot

Great location, good breakfast, clean room! We loved the first room we were in had a nice sofa to sit on with a coffee table,decent sized bathroom nice room overall but the TV’s weren’t working so had to move rooms! I like that check out isn’t until noon We moved rooms and this one was the same size but only had 1 chair to sit in with coffee table! When checking out and left I did go look at my account and saw that they did take an extra deposit the next day which made no sense to me! I did call and talk to someone but on my side it says it’s still pending! I booked the room through booking.com and it did say pay at hotel but they did try to take the money out the card I have on file which is not updated but they tried the card 12 times. That’s a bit overkill for it saying pay when you stay!

TV stations didn’t reflect what was showing. Bug in the room. Ice machine on our floor didn’t work. Housekeeping was terrible. Room was only cleaned twice during a 7 day stay. They were doing construction on the aisle of rooms across from us. If they knew they were going to have this done then why assign a room there. Since I have relatives in the area I will never ever stay there again. I’ll drive the extra miles from another hotel to my relatives.

The pool was under renovations despite the pool being pictured on the Google Maps page. The rooms were dirty and the original room had dozens of ants coming from a crack underneath the desk/entertainment center. They also charged my card after paying here

The location was right for my needs I was not aware of the construction at the property as Bookings did not present this information

We were recently visiting friends in Illinois. We stayed at this Fairfield Inn for the first time. We’ve traveled a lot this summer, and this was the best hotel we stayed at! Great location - tons of shopping, restaurants and things to do and see close by. The hotel pool was under construction, so we weren’t able to access it, which was fine. Front desk staff were lovely! Very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and spotless. Beds were super comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean and the towels were plentiful and big. The complimentary breakfast had lots of hot and cold choices. There was breakfast sandwiches AND scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and breakfast meat (bacon or sausage) served hot everyday. The attendant was so kind and welcoming each morning. He kept everything well stocked. We had a great stay all around. We visit family in Illinois every year, so we will definitely be back. We’ve never stayed at the Fairfield Inn chain, but I absolutely would recommend it. I highly recommend this hotel!

The remodeled room was great. The bed and bedding were excellent. There was a lot of construction and the laundry facilities were unable to be used, which was a bit of a problem. The staffe was excellent, it was very clean. The smoking area by the front doors was a problem. Every time we left and entered we were walking through cigarette smoke from people sitting on the benches smoking and discarding the used cigarettes in the flower pot by the font door.

I had to ask for daily towel changes! The water pressure in the shower was too low.

This property needs more attention to improve services, Tooks us a day to get an iron stand, and also microwave (once we reported it broken). Also, Electricity was gone for 5-6 hours on our floor and no one bothered to inform and provide updates unless you ask them. Very average hotel.

We weren’t told there would be construction during our stay. The room was not clean when we arrived at the requested time. Until pressed we weren’t going to be given an alternative room.

Only the first floor ice machine worked the 2nd and 3rd floor machines were broken down

The hotel was very dirty. The carpeting in the halls & the elevator were disgusting! Very dirty. The A/C unit in the room kept us up all night! It would kick on so loud & scare the heck out of us! The TV’s are not programmed to the guide! So we could not find channels to watch. The coffee maker in the lobby was in a very obscure place, had to look for it since it wasn’t located in the area with all the creamers and sugars, etc.. or in the little cafeteria, so weird! We were very disappointed for the amount that it cost per night! Not up to Marriotts usual very nice Hotels. There was construction going on on the first floor & there were no signs of notice for it. Dust & drywall dust everywhere! We were afraid to eat the breakfast due to the dirtiness of the Hotel! Marriott should remove their name from this place! I would never recommend it to anyone & will never stay there again!
