Hampton Inn Rochester-South

Found someone elses sock between the mattresses. Told the people at the front desk who stated “I will take care of it“ and it never happened. We should have been offered a different room. after that I didn’t feel like the facility was clean. Serve food that is properly cooked and of higher quality. Potatoes, undercooked, and hard, sausage patties were disgusting.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Joey went above and beyond to adjust my room. I loved getting a cold bottle of water at check in.

Very comfortable stay with friendly accommodating staff and service to our room. Breakfast was very nice with much variety and even gluten free choices which I needed. There is a daily soup offered in the evening, all of which made for a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay there again.

While there my Daughter developed a rash with itching that did not respond to Benadryl Once we returned home the rash persisted. She went to urgent care because the rash spread more on other areas, such as on neck, ear and even her eyelids. When questioned about the possible cause being bed bugs, it was determined that the rash had that apperance along with the intense itching, and the rash was only on any exposed areas. She was treated with oral steriods and steroid cream. First I called the Hampton Inn on Broadway, Rochester Minnesota. I spoke with a manager named Amanda, after listening she said she was transferring me to Nick who was the general manger. I got his answering machine and left a message that I had a serious problem and requested that he return my call. I never received a call or any type of apology. I then contacted Public Health, a complaint was filed and an inspector would be directed to the facility. I was concerned about other travelers encountering the same discomfort. Customers be aware!

Hotel was very well maintained. Especially liked the fitness room and the Peleton exercise bike. Breakfast also exceeded my expectations. Will stay again.

Nice hotel, nice rooms, nice pool, nice breakfast. Only negative was a slight musty smell in the room.

When i arrived my room was 82 degrees. Someone had switched the thermostat from cool to heat. Just took a bit to cool down. Nothing major.

Great friendly staff, location is good and close to several amenities. Rooms are always clean and welcoming. And when you walk into your room, you're greeted with your name on the TV screen.

Comfy bed, fresh air, great rose bushes outside!

As usual, the staff was great and the room was super. It is our go-to for accommodations when we travel to Rochester.
