Our room was specious, attractive and comfortable. A lovely lobby contains the cafe, bar, and many tables with comfortable seating.

Very pretty, huge rooms, quiet and the art was engaging. Loved it so much we booked a stay a few days later when we were on our way home from a multi-city road trip!

This is a boutique hotel so expect fun design choices in an interesting location. That said, the hotel could improve some of the basics and train staff to be more helpful. Two examples: one of the two elevators was out of service. The one working elevator wasn’t cleaned or swept at all during our three night stay. Second, when we asked the front desk at check in about parking our car we were told to speak to the valet. Our follow up question had to do with the amble street parking but the answer was a straight “parking restrictions are posted.” I think the second person at the desk noticed and nicely offered basic info - 2 hour parking is available. To be clear, there was no line for check in. The lack of customer service was needlessly unwelcoming. That the hotel charges $30 for an early check in (we arrived an hour early) seems a little petty for a place trying to attract a higher end clientele. The bar staff likewise lacked basic etiquette for good customer service. When I pointed out that she’d charged me full price during happy hour there was no apology or “oops”. Instead she wordlessly went to the register to try to reprint the bill, was distracted and left me standing at the bar waiting for something - a reprint? a simple apology? a word that let me know she would help me in a minute and that I should go back and enjoy my drink? Richmond has some of the nicest people, but when service is the job, people should be trained how to treat the customer.

Everything was beautiful and great! Hotel is about 5-8 minutes from downtown Richmond. Hotel rooms were very nice and clean!

The property was clean however not worth the price. The bed and sheets were very uncomfortable, the shower was sloped externally and water drained all over the bathroom floor, very minimal attention detail when it comes to functionality. It was pretty, but felt like I paid premium price just for extra modern decor and no amenities or luxuries

In the too short 12 hours we were there, staff were professional, efficient and friendly; accommodations were comfortable and spacious; decor was really fun; and food service was fast and tasty. We hope to visit again soon.

Bad

Room was nice and big but staff seemed to be lost and the amenities were not good at all. I went to work out at the gym but there was already someone in there and it didn’t fit 2 people. Couldn’t work out. Also the room doora are misaligned and slam shut really loud
