Hilton Garden Inn Palm Springs - Rancho Mirage

It’s a nice place to stay. I don’t get gabby enough to fill 25 characters.

I have stayed at this property before and it was ok. It’s convenient in distance from my job so I stayed here a second time in hopes my experience would be better than my first. It was worse. This most recent visit was 2 weeks long. Upon checking into my room I immediately noticed the restroom had hair on the floor from a previous guest. Nonetheless, I cleaned it up and carried on. From night 1 onto the very last day there was a very disruptive slamming, vibrating and almost mechanical sounding noise consisting going on above me in the evening and proceeded to wake me from sleep in the early am. I called several time about the disturbances and was told that the maintenance workers checked on it but couldn’t find the source. They offered me a new room and I accepted, but due to my schedule between work and school I would return to the room so late that the last thing I wanted to do was deal with the front desk to organize the change of room. After a few nights of this I purchased ear plugs and sleep aid pills. That helped but the entire stay was loud and disruptive. In addition, I eventually had to call the front desk once again because the smoke detector was going off. Batteries were changed out and all was well, but whatever that noise was all evening and morning was left unresolved and I definitely would not stay again. Hall way door slamming can be heard easily and the halls smell like mildew. The shower was also pretty noisy and disgusting.

Entry staff were very good. No breakfast offered without a separate fee. Clean, functional room and bath. Hard mattresses.

Carpet was extremely dirty and smelly

I wasn’t too impressed that I had to really argue with the staff to get the free breakfast when it said we had the free breakfast written on the Expedia confirmation. He said oh you booked it with Expedia. We don’t allow that or approve it. I insisted I said the confirmation says it really clear and finally with an attitude they allow us to have the breakfast included. Other than that, the place was very nice with a nice swimming pool. The carpet in the hallways was getting very old.

Everything was excellent but. Not the pool. Pool was murky.

Very nice hotel. We stay there on our halfway point to Arizona. The staff is always so welcoming and kind. Rooms are clean and they accept pets and keep us on the first floor for that convenience.

We had a great time in the pool. The room was clean. The staff was helpful.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Friendly reception, I was given water on checking in. The facility has pretty much Hilton standard in cleanliness which is top notch; with plenty of towel supply. My room had a microwave, Keurig and a mini fridge. My room was quiet; I was well rested the 2 nights I stayed. However, I was somewhat concerned about safety since the back entrance automatic door would open from the outside without a card. The facility also is pretty much outdated; but with the cleanliness it's easy to overlook this. I will definitely stay here again.

I asked if they could move me to a room with a firm mattress, but they said the hotel doesn't have one. Anyway, thank you for everything else.

Exceptional

Pretty nice hotel located conveniently to shops and restaurants and close enough to the big resorts where business took me during my stay. The staff was very friendly when I arrived a little earlier than check in time and they called me when my room was ready. Breakfast was available daily for an extra charge but I did not partake. My room was good and the AC worked well during an extra warm weekend in Palm Springs. I did not like how much of exterior halls were very warm and the inside of the elevators. I hope that they are correcting that. Overall, a very good stay and helpful staff. I will consider booking again here on my next trip to Rancho Mirage.
