Dated but nice service good location near grand central. We had good view of Empire State

Friendly staff, good location for Central Manhattan, comfortable beds. We specifically booked this hotel for the rooftop bar and when we arrived it was closed for 9 days with no notice for a 'private function' Possibly connected to the UN conference which hadn't even started! There was no other bar. This was disappointing.

We liked the hotel and the location was great. The staff is nice. However, they need to do a better job cleaning in the bathroom (the sink had mold). Otherwise, the hotel was very nice. We love the view from our room.

The facility, restaurant, room, and staff were all top notch! The robes/slippers, heated towel rack, and toiletries were all exceptional. The shower was difficult to operate and needs to be upgraded to match the rest of the outstanding room amenities.

The property is well located and beautiful. The room is on the small side, and the bathroom in particular was too small, but very nicely appointed. For me the biggest shortcoming is no on site treadmill or workout room. They do have privileges at a gym 5 blocks away, and it’s a good gym; but I prefer a hotel with an on site treadmill. For a less pricey hotel these things wouldn’t be a problem, but for me Kitano is a bit too expensive for these shortcomings.

Cleanest hotel in New York. Lovely buffet breakfast and a rooftop that no other hotel can compete with. This is our go-to hotel for NYC.

Love this place. Great location. Clean as can be. Really nice staff from top to bottom who always make me feel like they appreciate my business. Rooms are very comfortable. Heated toilet seats with bidet functions are off the charts.

Great location, comfortable bed Breakfast was very average and there was a ridiculous voucher scheme in operation. Not much available on the 2nd morning and quite rude staff at breakfast

This is a high-end hotel. It is very clean and well maintained. There are extra perks like 10% off at their excellent candy store! The buffet breakfast had a nice variety and tasted good. I was disappointed that the rooftop garden/bar area was closed for two weeks & I didn’t have advance knowledge of this. That may have changed my decision on staying here. Also, they put a $100/night security deposit on your credit card that is to come off after your stay. It is rather expensive to stay at this property but it is in a good location near Grand Central & the rooms are decent in size for NYC!
