Good location, next to subway station at the bus terminal. Lovely friendly staff We loved the complimentary drinks in reception. The breakfast was a boring. The same on offer every day. There was 'kettle' in our room but it in the wardrobe! Ever so hard to turn it on and not particularly safe.

Confirm all charges before booking. Unexpected taxes and fees made this hotel poor value. Meal overcharges took hours to resolve with the manager, and our room had a broken toilet upon arrival. Staff were unhelpful about switching rooms and offered no compensation. As a Marriott member for 30 years with Gold Elite status, I felt undervalued and disappointed. I can think of other groups I would want to become members of instead!!!

Reception staff was outstanding. Nicole helped us with early check-in, at noon instead of 3 pm. She moved us to a room that was more appropriate for our needs on the highest possible floor (30 out of 32). She then treated us to a complimentary breakfast. We have never experienced such amazing service at any hotel before. Nothing.

We were in a great area easy check-in. Breakfast was amazing. The staff was so sweet and kind because we were having issues with plumbing and they had to move us three different times. Besides the plumbing issue, we had there . It wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about this particular stay

The location was good and in downtown. It is easily accessible by public transportation. The Check-in process was extremely slow. The front desk agent was either new/had little knowledge of the system. This was a busy night and there was only 1 agent handling all the services. In addition, we were offered a $20 voucher for food/drink at the bar. However, there was only 1 bartender for the entire night and she was swamped with the high number of guests trying to order with the voucher, while simultaneously taking care of the other guests who already sat. Why offer these vouchers ( had to be used only on the first night) to every guest and not having enough staff to handle the orders? I waited for more than 10 mns in a line for the bartender to take my order. I ended up leaving the line and not using the voucher during my stay. Later, I called the front desk to report a dysfunction of the shower, I was put on hold for more than 7 minutes. I decided to go to the front desk to request a room change and then again, another long line of check-ins with only one front agent. After 10 mns of waiting on the side, I had to loudly voice my presence since I was being ignored by the front desk agent who never care to ask the reason for my presence there. Overall, there is a staffing issue that needs to be corrected! This was my 2nd visit. During the 1st visit, there was an employees strike set in front of the hotel with loud noise. I decided to give it another chance but still ended up being disappointed.

That’s not the hotel’s fault. The staff were great, the elevators reasonable, the room clean and comfortable. The shower was good. Everything worked. Fridge and coffee machine, free bottled water, all nice. I felt safe in the hotel. I felt reasonably safe on the street too, as long as I was taking precautions (alert, hard to pickpocket, know where I’m going, don’t talk to strangers). I read mixed reviews of the breakfast so I didn’t try it. You’re a few minutes’ walk from Broad Nosh, which is great. Schnipper’s nearby is good for a bite to eat too.
