Great location and cleanliness’s Air conditioning was not great and the traffic noise outside was really bad

Great place to stay in.a great location

We were surprised that there was only one chair in the room and it was a desk chair on rollers. There was no fridge or ice bucket, but they brought a small fridge when asked. There were no usb plugs in the room and no outlets very close to the bedside tables to hook up our power cords. The restaurant was nice and the hotel lobby was exceptionally comfortable. The bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was disappointing as well, the omelet was dry and the options were very basic. For around the same price, we found it much better to go to Café Florian across the street. That said, the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, our main disappointment was simply that the quality of the rooms and amenities did not match the price point.

I love this Hotel, this is always my first choice and if it is booked and I can rearrange my visit I do.

I had a wonderful stay! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything was well maintained. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great experience overall. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Close to Yale University, museums and galleries. The reception might be cosy like a study, but the rooms should be named the office - cold and stark in terms of decoration. They need to give better instructions re valet parking. No space in front of hotel for valet, had to drive around the block twice and eventually parked at a public garage on York street. Noisy room, 2nd floor, all HVAC equipment right next to my window and gym next door to room, the humming of the treadmill woke me up at 5am in the morning, thankfully I had earplugs. The television channels were also not working, not sure why offer this, if it is not in a working condition. The staff are very non-chalant, avoiding making eye contact when you enter the lobby, reception could not make any effort to greet you when you come down to grab your morning coffee. Maybe that is how they do it in New Haven, but hospitality should not be this poor.

Lovely room, great location. Had to ask for a mini fridge for meds but they brought it up in a good amount of time.

Not enough lights in the room

The air conditioner in 622 made some quiet chirping sounds that were only noticeable late at night, after climbing into bed. That's not the time to contemplate phoning the front desk to request a room change. The flush lever of the commode is a bit wonky, and I'm surprised new guests were assigned the room before it had been rectified. The valet parking procedure could have been better explained in the pre-arrival email.

Great room decor and style, let down by cramped bathroom and very noisy air-conditioning...I honestly thought there was a motor cycle firing up outside when it rumbled into action...
