We did enjoy the swimming pools, beautiful landscaping and the hot tubs. We also found time to swim in the crater, which was really fun and a must if you haven’t tried it before. The main dining restaurant wasn’t open yet, but we did have breakfast & snacks at the milkhouse. Mostly we ate offsite at other locations nearby. We will have to try it again after the complete remodel is done.!

Loved the hot tub and the Cavern!

The place is under construction. Would not recommend staying there until it’s completed. once it’s done it’ll be nice. But before it’s done the place is a mess and the staff was very confused and unhelpful and borderline rude especially for the very high rate for a room

The room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. They needed two comfortable chairs to sit in to watch TV. There was no where to sit except on the bed.

Beautiful property my biggest complaint was we went for a relaxing trip paid more for a patio to sit and have coffee in the am but the amount of carts they have driving around is outrageous there was 6 most of the time around us and driving around constantly it was loud and distracting from the beautiful ambiance. Also the trash truck comes and gets the dumpsters at 7 am more then once a week which is way loud and close to multiple rooms, they need to be moved badly. Beautiful pool space warm and relaxing. The property is under construction which honestly wasnt any of the issues. Seems like the staff can't walk anywhere without carts they needs to minimize them drastically i was forced off the sidwalk multiple times while walking to the milk house or pool because carts need to pass. I would love to bring my family back one day when construction is over but they really need to make staff walk more and get rid of multiple carts i mean we walked all over the property its not bad to do. Also the balcony isnt worth the price add its a long patio walkway with just chairs added nothing private. Alot of money for a chair outside your room door

Homestead is undergoing a major renovation across the entire property. Basically the amenity opened are the pools. The entire grounds are nothing but a construction zone. I booked this property with the understanding that it was renovated in 2023 according to the property details on Expedia. Obviously this was not the case and my 2 day stay was hardly to be considered a vacation. Overall a big disappointment!

This place is adorable and I will absolutely come back again. It was difficult to

We only stayed one night so we ate in the restaurant and the food was good, the staff were friendly and helpful even though they seemed short-handed. Likewise the staff in the coffee shop for breakfast were lovely and warm but seemingly overwhelmed with the number of customers who they were trying to serve. Our room was large, clean and comfortable but a little shabby around the edges for somewhere that otherwise appeared quite upscale in general. If we were travelling this way again, I’m not sure if this would be top of my list for an overnight stay.

Great stay at a beautiful resort. They’ve done a lot of work on the place. Excited to see how everything looks once it’s finished

Currently under construction, so you have to deal with that, but the rooms were great, the pool was the highlight of the stay on a very hot summer day. The grill next to the pool has great food. The Milk House was wildly overpriced for an iced latte costing $9. I’d go somewhere else for that. Rooms have nespresso pods , so that made up a little bit for it.

So comfortable, so clean, my favorite place to stay in Midway!!!! Friendly staff!

  • Engine customer Sep 2026

Some staff were great & some were quite rude. I hurt my foot and toes really bad on the outdoor fireplace when a big heavy unsecured stone fell off the fireplace and landed on my foot and toes. The room looked clean but then I dropped something on the floor, I realized how dirty it was. For the astronomical price it costs to stay there, the floor should be clean. We asked for a late check out and were told it was $50 an hour. There was not enough help at the check in desk and the line was out the door. It took over a half hour to get checked in and the staff was not friendly or welcoming. There was not enough help at the milk house and it was a very long wait to get any help and they were less than friendly there as well. The grill did not have enough workers and for the price of the food, the service was terrible but not because of the waitresses and workers that were there, there just wasn’t enough people to do the job. The pool and the pickleball courts were great. The food at the grill was good, but overpriced. The food and coffee at the milk house was decent but overpriced. The activities were outrageously overpriced. Instead of nickel and diming every customer who comes to the resort, why not treat them like they are at a resort and whine and dine them so they want to come back again?

    Place was Awesome!

Nothing it was great! Staff was very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my room!

  • Engine customer Sep 2026

Very nice relaxing atmosphere. No chairs in our room! I like somewhere to sit with a back(chair). Also, only one small trash can in the bathroom.

From check in to the time we left everything was top notch

The area is lovely, despite the construction going on and the room (1011) was very cute and comfy but did have several issues: The refrigerator door stuck and so you had to yank on it to open it, the shower had a few hairs in it (probably from the rush cleaning job), the shower head had hard water/mildew/mineral build-up on it and there was no iron/ironing board. The real issue was checking in and staff. We were eager to check-in on time so we could clean-up before our evening plans but staff informed us, without apology, that the room was not ready because most rooms were sold out the day prior from a big corporate event. Sorry, but that is not my problem. I paid to have a room ready at 4pm and it wasn't. No compensation offered. Got a call at almost 5pm that it was ready but we were already at our commitment for the next few hours. When we did check-in later, the staff didn't inform us that we could park in a lot much closer and convenient to our room. A guest shouldn't have to figure that out...you should anticipate and ask. That is what hospitality is all about.
