Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs® Area

I loved that the property is literally across the street from Disney Springs, and that they provide free shuttle service to the Disney Parks. The concierge service was excellent, though it turned out we didn't need it because we were able to check in, and they waived the early check in fee for us. I don't really have anything negative to say, except that it's a shame the pool closes at 10 PM.

The location was great. The pool was also great. However that’s where the positives stop. The hotel had on going construction which was not disclosed to people who booked months in advance. We were woken up with hammering, drilling, and banging at approximately 7:30 in the morning and they didn’t stop until about 9 to 9:30 pm. On park days for Disney this was on a problem but on rest days it was an issue due to the construction/renovations of rooms going on above and next door. Numerous guests including me went to the front desk to address our concerns. The manager could not care in the slightest for guest concerns. She had a careless demeanor and stated we could call corporate with any compliant whoever did not provide everyone with a business card or corporate’s phone number. It was upsetting for a stay to be ruined by not being able to get any kind of sleep and then having management not willing to help you with either a different room or anything. Management made no attempt to even give a simple apology. They shoed us (myself and the other guests who had concerns regarding the construction) away so they could help others check in the hotel. Based on this experience I’m not sure if we’d be staying here again. We will look for other accommodations. Keep in mind my family and I went with friends (one of our yearly trips) so we had multiple rooms and to be treated like that was unpleasant.

It feels like home. We stay here a lot and we love the pool, the pool bar, everything is within a good distance including Disney springs. They are doing construction on the bar in the lobby which is a good thing but we were unaware before booking. It's not a big deal though because the pool bar is still amazing.

The hotel itself was great, have stayed there several times over the years. But this time I was bombbarded with extra unforeseen fees.

Great location next door to Disney Springs. Easily walkable. Hotel was doing construction during our stay so we were not able to visit all of the areas, but room was clean and somewhat updated. Nice cafe in the lobby perfect for snacks, drinks and coffee. You can tell this is an older place, but well maintained grounds and pool area was exceptionally nice. Would stay here again.

The location is hard to beat, and that convenience makes a big difference. It’s a hotel I’m always happy to come back to.
