Normally it would have been nice, but there was a power outage from hurricane Nolo. We did not have power for 90% of our stay and only used the pools once because of it. The hotel did not have a working generator so power wasn't restored untll our last night when they brought in portable generators. Most of the resorts had power after one day, but ours did not because of outdated electrical parts that had to be flown in from the mainland. The lack of preparation was the most dissapointing part.

Night staff not helpfully because no one is present at desk or gate. They had electric power backup for playing music and fancy lighting but not for room Air. I stayed 4 nights and 2 nights we had no power and no air .

Great beach. Close to Mall and plenty of restaurants.
-
Room had some stains, but the overall property was so beautiful. It was hard to get any service at the pool for drinks/food, but otherwise wonderful location

Restaurants were just ok. They need a better breakfast, brunch, lunch place. The Luau was super expensive, hot, and not all that enjoyable with the heat. Something on the buffet made me feel bad. Drinks at luau were TERRIBLE! The WORST I’ve ever had!!!

Wifi and power went down because of a storm which affected the whole place. But the Westin made sure guests were fed, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were charging stations available for everyone to use. The situation could have been worst but the hotel made sure their guests were taken care off.

One employee working the front on arrival, took us 2 hours to check in

This is an updated review. I was very satisfied at check in even tho we were having trouble with deposit at first. Got upgraded to ocean view which was nice. Things started going wrong quick. No AC is Arcade. Both hot tubs not hot. Got double charged for room service, amount came straight out my card the day of then they charged me again on my check-out bill. Alot of amenities were extra & overpriced even tho they charged us $50 a night extra for amenities & other things so be prepared for that. Only 4 elevators for over 10 floors of rooms so waiting for one takes awhile. This resort was honestly overpriced. Spend the extra buck to stay south Maui or even take a ferry to Lanai.

Great resort.

The grounds were amazing! Waterfalls abound. Loved the adult sand bottom pool/ hot tub. The rooms were just right and the beds are exactly what I've come to expect from Westin hotels... Heaven! The lania lounge was worth the upgrade just for the daily food. Full breakfast and full dinner and it was was fresh and offered a good variety each night along with snacks during the day. It is pricey but you get a lot for your money.

Stayed in Sept 2026. Absolutely loved the resort. great for kids (and a kids club) with the multiple pools, slides, and hidden grotto area. We stayed in the Hokupa'a tower with club access. The Lanai was extremely convenient for breakfast and snacks if heading out for early morning excursions. The room and bath were spacious. we stayed in a luxury larger room. Our shower did not drain well and once we contacted support it was immediately fixed. Our requests for extra pillows and towels were immediately provided. Conveniently located right beside Whaler's Village with many dining options. We definitely hope to return again for a future anniversary visit.
