I had an amazing trip one that I was planning for months was so happy to be able to stay so close to the beach and have such a nice view. My only problem I had was the staff that worked behind the counter, when checking in she didn’t have much to say pretty much nothing at all seemed like I was a burden to deal with. We got an upgraded room offer that was $75 a night through email said would be awarded if available at check-in. She never told us that we got that until I asked, but she also failed to mention that there was hotel fees on top of that when I already paid the hotel fees for the original booking. She also failed to ask if I had a car and mention that I was being charged for valet. We were going to park in street parking.

Excellent location South of all the Waikiki craziness but close enough to walk to everything and a beautiful beach with calmer waters and local charm. Coffee shop and restaurant were great (especially the cocktails) and room/bed was very comfortable. The large sliding glass doors are completely sound proof which is great if you are a light sleeper. Even the park view rooms have a great partial ocean view from the balcony. Front desk staff was touch and go as far as friendliness and helpfulness goes—that’s my only knock on this gem of a hotel.

Amazing few days, Dustin and reception was outstanding, helped with all kinds of requests, professional and always with a smile, irreplaceable asset to this hotel. Love to come back again.

Must, mildew room, leaking ceiling, most of the staff don’t follow through on resolving problems. Some of the staff were nice .

Staff and room quality AFTER upgrading No elevator in adjacent buildings.

  • Engine customer Sep 2026

We loved our room and enjoyed the view A little bit of a walk into downtown but we liked getting our steps up

The staff at this hotel were extremly professional. The wait staff for the bar and restaurant were engaging and accommodating. The room was laid out well and provided all the basics. Daily cleaning was quick but thorough. The adjacent beach was great as was the view of it from our room. The balcony was used and provided comfort. While the age was starting to show it still has all you need to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

This was such an amazing stay. Great views. Friendly staff. Only thing Iʻd say is that itʻs a little hard to find cheap food unless you donʻt mind driving. It is located outside of the "main" parts of Waikiki, but we loved that aspect. Would 100% stay again

They basically charge you 55 dollars a night to park in their own lot because it is is valet only and there aren't many good free spots on the street to park. Rooms were kinda basic and could use update. The tvs looked like the one Michael Scott had on his wall. Was not worth what they charge.

The lobby and bar/restaurant are was nice. The rooms were definitely lacking. Very plane and could use an update to match the money put into the lobby/restaurant. Good view of Diamond Head from the street facing rooms. Location was in a quieter park beach area and the walk to the shops and Waikiki area was not bad. Location was good - away from the busy centre and with a beach right outside the hotel When we checked into our room, we immediately found that the carpet was soaking wet. Not merely damp. There was a very strong chemical smell throughout the room, which made it clear that the carpet had just been cleaned. We reported this to the front desk that evening. We were told that the issue would be raised with the manager and that someone would contact us to resolve it. Nobody called our room. As it was already late, we had little choice but to go to bed in the room with the wet carpet and strong chemical smell. The following morning, the carpet was still soaking wet, so we raised the issue again with a different member of the front desk team. We explained that we would be going out and left our cell phone number with the front desk, specifically so that the manager could contact us. Once again, we were told the matter would be escalated and that someone would call us. Again, nobody contacted us. When we returned later that day, we discovered that someone had entered the room to clean and had evidently found the carpet still soaking wet. They placed towels all over the wet carpet. This was extremely disappointing and did nothing to actually resolve the problem!! What was most frustrating was not simply that the carpet was wet but also there was the complete lack of follow-through. We reported the problem twice, were repeatedly told that a manager would contact us, provided our phone number, and yet nobody ever contacted us, offered us another room, provided a meaningful solution, or offered any compensation. It was a terrible stay - we asked for a room overlooking the ocean but shouldnt have bothered paying the premium for this as we had to spend the night in a room with a soaking-wet carpet and strong chemical smell, with the problem still unresolved throughout our stay.

Nice location but no room coffee maker, so if you want coffee you can walk to a convenient store for coffee.
