My sister and I stayed here during a girls’ trip, and unfortunately, we did not feel very safe or comfortable during our stay. We arrived around 7:30 p.m., and there were three people who appeared to be homeless sitting in the lobby, passing around a bottle of vodka and having inappropriate conversations. We were uncomfortable enough that we asked the front desk clerk to write our room number down rather than say it out loud. The room itself was also disappointing. It was dirty, the beds had tiny half-size pillows, and there were very few towels provided. The next morning, we came downstairs to find that the elevator button had been completely broken off. On the morning we left, the same three individuals were eating the complimentary hotel breakfast. They had a very strong body odor that permeated the entire breakfast area, making it unpleasant to sit and eat. Another woman traveling with her child was clearly uncomfortable as well and took their breakfast to go rather than staying in the dining area. I am absolutely in favor of helping people who are struggling, and that is not the issue. My concern is the lack of security and the level of unrestricted access to the hotel and its amenities. As two women traveling alone, we did not feel safe. Paying guests should be able to expect a clean, secure, and comfortable environment, and unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

At first entrance, it had a very inviting scent upon walking in. The customer service attendant greeted me properly. He was in another call, but did advise me. He would be with me shortly, which he did. After checking in, he informed us of the Wi-Fi as well as the hotel amenities, the pool, and the breakfast their hours at which time they started and ended, which was great. He also let me know about an opportunity to get dropped off by a shuttle at the nearby entertainment district. the room was very clean and organized. The beds were comfy and a/c was perfectly cold during the night. There are nearby fast food restaurants within walking distance. Parking is convenient and clean. My friend and I felt safe while staying. We enjoyed a vast breakfast with a great coffee machine that offered tons of coffee options! We will definitely be coming back to stay here! Wished the pool opened earlier. Maybe 8am for the early swimmers!

The AC worked perfectly. Shower pressure was good. Beds were comfortable. It was quiet. Plenty of parking. The pool was also well-maintained. The bad: The room smelled. Mostly the carpets. The worst: The service was subpar. There is poor communication between the night and morning staff. Very inconvenient for us. Needed a late check-out. Willing to pay. Night attendant said he would leave a note for morning attendant. We had something important to do the morning of check-out. While doing said errand the next morning, the morning attendant called to remind us about check-out time. Tried to explain to him what I was told by the night attendant but the morning attendant said we HAD to pay right now or else we couldn’t stay even though all of our stuff was still in the room. We were literally not on the property at the time dealing with what we had do deal with. Had to rush back to pay him. He said he never received the note. Ironically, the note was to the left of him in a filling box. I could see it from the counter. Pointed it out to him and he just looked at me dumbfounded and made a comment under his breath. It clearly had my information from the night attendant. Just very irritating. I was willing to pay the night before to prevent any problems. Just poor service all around. Then the morning attendant was also not available at the front desk to help several people who had to wait to be helped.

Our room was clean and breakfast was okay. The biscuits were burnt. There were three people walking around the parking lot at night. The manager said he would walk around the hotel and check on that.

Initially we were placed in the wrong suite but it was nothing to go and switch that over at the front desk. The second suite we were placed in smelled of cigarettes even though they emphasized the no smoking but we were tired of being on the road and moving around so we had to settle. The ice machine on our floor was broken so we constantly had to go to the lobby floor to get ice. Other than those few things it was a pretty good experience.
