La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Garland Harbor Point

Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel was not as nice as on a previous visit. It was too obvious to us that the management was taking nickle and dime efforts to improve their margin. Example: Although our room was sufficiently clean, house keeping was not working every day apparently due to low occupancy and this left piled rubbish near waste containers. The breakfast items had become noticeably more stingy, like no fresh fruits and aging prepackaged pastries. If they want to cut cost they could run one instead of two waffle irons during periods of low occupancy or usage.

Location was convenient for me. The issue when I arrived, host was not at counter, outside on phone and saw me arrive. He didnt get great me or explain he was the host. I rang bell, called Location and took about 30 to finally he comes in to check me in. Got to room and was finally greeted, by a bug. Otherwise an ok location, would not take my family there. Host took 30 minutes to finally come back inside and check me in. Bug in room

Convenient location and it was being updated while we were there Staff was overwhelmed at breakfast; ran out of coffee and food was slow to be replenished

The bed was uncomfortable but other than that all good.

May not necessarily be the hotels fault but our stay was ruined by screaming and hollering for over 40 min in the hallway. Go out my door to see a group of probably 15 individuals w women screaming back and forth fighting. No way hotel staff did not hear this going on. Finally called the front desk after it continued and the police had been called. Open my curtains to 4 police tahoes surrounding the front entrance. My 13 yr old was terrified to go Back to sleep and my anxiety prevented me from sleeping. We stayed so my daughter could get rest for a softball tournament. Instead we wasted our money because we we were so nervous we couldn’t sleeps

I enjoyed my stay because they had breakfast and a pool for me and my kids to have a good time at. I am upset because they kept parting my deposit and I don’t know why. I tried calling to find out and never was able to get ahold of anyone

The name. The room wasn’t as clean as we expected and smelled of smoke.
