60”s style motel. Great staff.

The motel is in a great location to the Grant House and historic downtown. The room was clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. But, the bed was so uncomfortable. We could just feel the springs digging in to us. You can also hear the people in the next rooms.

For an inexpensive street side motel I was pleasantly impressed. There were some trucks in the morning driving by, and that was noticeable but I got a good night’s sleep.

This is an old motel. Period. Very outdated. Smells musty. Bedding and towels were clean. Gentleman at desk was very nice and made sure you had all the info needed. Convenient to downtown Galena. Very near the highway - so if you're not good with traffic noise, not your place. Pool looked ok, we did not use. Next time I think I would spend the extra for a different place, but it was a place to stay and shower.

The staff is very friendly and helpful but the hot water issue is not good. We never had a hot shower the week we were there and there were only maybe 5 other rooms filled. They need bigger water tanks. Also the pool was not very clean but we still like it here

Not fancy but clean and comfortable. Good for the price.

And bathroom. The mustiness lingers on our clothing and what we brought with. Bed mattress a bit soft and lumpy for my liking as well as the pillow. I guess it’s due to being so nostalgic. Overall it worked out great for an overnight sleep. They also had a satiation for grab n go breakfast items.

The motel was exactly as advertised: clean, quiet, affordable, and an easy drive to downtown Galena.

We had to change rooms because when you walked in you could feel the humidity as soon as you walked in. We asked to change the room and we got a double bed room without carpet which made it much better. Air Conditioners need to be maintained, you could smell the mildew coming from them. We did see one roach in the bathroom coming out the baseboard. I did notify the desk clerk. Its a good stay for a short time, especially if your out all day in Galena. The rooms definitely could use dehumidifiers for the amount of humidity the rooms hold, wouldn't recommend for people with asthma. Overall a good stay.

The shower was extremely small and the room was not well-kept. We were not too happy with this experience.
