Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge

Nice location, comfortable room, friendly staff, breakfast blueberries and blackberries were delicious, but has little vegetables, .

Resort was clean, well appointed, staff were professional and kind. A very convenient location with the necessary amenities.

Hotel was outdated…rooms desperately need a makeover. Mildew in the shower. Lobby crowded with 100s of cruise passengers coming & going without adequate seating. Coffee shop in sundry store was convenient and the casual bar/restaurant was cozy. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, they offer a free shuttle to the airport and complimentary baggage transport.

Clean & convenient to airport

Very nice lodge! Water pressure and hot water not very good. Breakfast buffet very good, but $26 per person. Suggest eating light in the coffee shop inside the gift shop. Terrific coffees and breakfast sandwiches and pastries will save some money. Good shuttle to downtown, $10 per person day pass. Staff was very nice. Take a walk in the gardens along the river...beautiful.

Nice lodge and rooms, albeit outdated and in need of some work. Truly enjoyed the food and sitting on the deck at the restaurant there.

Arrived at 2am and were given keys to an occupied room. second attempt was also an occupied room. Finally got a workable room with the requested king bed. Next day we were notified we had to change rooms because we were outside of the block of rooms for our cruise. Got into the new room and it was a 2 double bed room. Front desk didn’t care and couldn’t figure out how to keep us in the same room.

I would not give a wooden nickel for the people/staff at the front desk. Apparently calling ahead to make specific arrangements falls upon deaf ears. The communication gap insufferably contentious. Problem solving issues is not the forte of the front desk. They were going to make us change rooms during the middle of our stay rather than change their computer record.

Location was convenient to the airport

Staff was untrained at checkin . They were literally learning everything on the fly . I have owned 40 hotels - front desk staff should be reasonably trained before putting them out front . My check in took 15 minutes and there was no line .

Perfect in every way

Nice property. Very convenient location. Clean room/excellent housekeeping. Good restaurant choices & a beautiful outside patio. Friendly staff. Had a little glitch at check in but it all worked out. Not a fan of them delivering luggage because it took several hours for ours to arrive & also had to have it ready 3 hours before departure....both of which were inconvenient.

Really convenient from the airport. Room was a little weird having a suite like entrance with separate travelers. Hot breakfast was ok, but the view was excellent.

We had a warm welcome. It is a very busy hotel at times, caters for high volumes. It met our expectations.

The rooms were hot, air conditioning did not work. Key did not work on door, two different key sets. They moved us to another room. We are traveling with a group of 14. All rooms were hot. It is unfortunate that the property was not in great working order at the beginning of the season. They had plenty of time to make things right before they opened.
