Courtyard Durham Near Duke University/Downtown

It was close to where I needed to be while staying there. That is it. Some of the staff was rude as hell. The bed was very uncomfortable. We had to have someone left us in our room every time we stepped out for something. The toilet was clogged and took forever for the staff to bring ME THE Plunger! It being a Marriott hotel and the way it is ran is sad. We pay money to stay in a nice respectful place and to be dealing with what we did is wrong!

Room was clean and comfortable. I stay at this hotel every visit to Durham. I go to Duke hospital every 6 months, so this hotel is close and convenient.

No room key, no wi-fi, clogged shower, extremely loud appliances, extremely loud highway, window view is directly into restaurant

Great Location and staff was helpful

the location was good and the room was clean a used wash cloth on the shower and the water not cold

the staff was so nice a d very helpful, they really made my stay there very relaxing. the housekeeping staff was also very good and always polite and cheerful. i would stay here again

The bed The first room that I was given the lights keep going out and they moved me to a new room. The second room I was given the AC was out and they moved me again. Finally the last room was okay.

Carpet and room need renovation musty and smoky smell in room

Everything was wonderful with the exception of the business being short staffed (housekeeping). The staffs quick response abd resolution made up for that! My stay was very pleasant!

Great place

Everything was okay but a few things would have made us happier. Our room was on the fourth floor and faced the highway so it was noisy at night especially the trucks. The beds were ok. The shower was great.

Good

the beds were comfy which is big for me and even bigger are the pillows which were perfect.

We were disappointed that the only breakfast option was an over priced Starbucks associated bar/counter. The room was fine and the hotel was a convenient place to stop for the night en route to our final destination. Pomodoro Italian Kitchen, a restaurant next door to the hotel, was terrific.

Location A bit run down

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was old and smelled. The lobby didn't have coffee for guests until 10:00 AM. Guests who had to go to work early in the morning had to buy coffee at the Starbucks counter from a rude woman.

Extremely kind and friendly staff, however, not well cleaned. The water bottles were drinken out of and not full. One of the glasses had its cover removed and appeared to be drinken out of as well. The towels were stained and there was a large amount of KitKat wrappers in our trash can- all upon arriving. Signs were up in the elevator notifying guests of the increased security because of recent car break-ins.

Location The linings were disgusting the service staff used a dirty covers for a new check in room, after I arrived and had a shower I laid down in bed and all my body started itching. few towels were not cleaned at all, I threw the small ones on the sink so they change them and when I got back to the room I found the same ones I threw on the sink are folded and put back, one of them has a small blood spot which is the reason I threw on the sink.
