Best Western Plus Rio Grande Inn

This hotel is dated and the room had a bit of a bad odor probably due to the old carpet. The bathroom was clean. There was no breakfast just coffee. Location was convenient to downtown.

Front desk staff was very professional and polite. Breakfast was OK at best, with one day served the mystery round egg things and cold. The 2 free happy hour cocktails? Stick to the beer. The liquor was pretty bad and cheap. Its a nice touch to have that offered, but up the game with something better than the stuff we hammered in college. Pool and whirlpool were clean. Property was spotless and parking was ample. A couple of broken items in our room should have been addressed prior to having someone stay in the room. Overall, it was a decent property and as we have stayed in Durango multiple times in the past, we'll probably stay at this property again.

We do a yearly trip to Durango. We always make reservations here. Great place. Great rooms.

Lovely large room and very nicely done bathroom. Loved the 1st floor location and double doors. Breakfast was perfect. Nothing!

The indoor pool and hot tub are a plus. There are no views from the balcony rooms and with the price of the rooms I would like a better balcony view.

The property was clean, the room good, staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent, the complementary two drinks per night was a bonus. What I did not like was the property itself. Very dark, enclosed, some rooms with little to no outside views. Also restricted channel options

Walkable to downtown and clean Parking was chaotic and you had to walk a long ways to your room if you stayed on the front side with maybe 5 parking spots up there. Breakfast was just ok.

The hotel was very clean. The location was not as close to downtown as expected. The bathroom was very small. I personally did not like how dark the hotel was and did not like the double glass sliding doors for the entrance to the room. There was no way to get any natural light in the room since the only exterior windows looked in to the hotel where everyone entering the hotel could see directly in your room.

Heating and Cooling units are showing their age. Sound like an airplane taking off. Pocket doors between the bathroom and the bedroom are heavy and hard to roll. Showerhead was scaled.

Great place to stay. Close to train station and everything Durango!

The room was very clean and very nicely appointed. The breakfast offerings were very good and a nice variety. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the location as we could walk just about anywhere. There isn't anything we did like....we had an issue with my friend's allergies and the staff went out of their way to do a deep clean, AC, carpet, the whole shebang!
