Breakfast was great

Inside hotel was warm

I recommend Embassy Suites. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The only thing that needs more attention is the dining room area, especially the deep-cleaning of that area. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! 😋 Overall, I had a great experience

The omelet breakfast was a great perk in the morning. Room was comfortable and spacious.

It was even too much for my 9 year old daughter to handle so we left after 20-30 min. The rooms are nice and spacious, beds are comfy. The shower water pressure wasn’t the best but that’s expected in a hotel. Our door sticks so we had to keep making sure it was closed by slamming it, we noticed a few times that housekeeping didn’t close it all the way and would come back to the door not locked. Overall, we had a good stay. Most of the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Exceptional

Breakfast service. Comfortable suite. Friendly staff. Location close to our event. Cleanliness!!Food tables sticky, elevator out of service, leaky shower and dirty shower tile. Water damage on wall and door not repaired. No housekeeping services for 3 days. Food trays not cleared from hall. Not able to get housekeeping to answer phone. Had to go to front desk and still no result. Lamp in front room did not work. Embassy suites did not live up to the prior stays we've had there. Very disappointed with accomodations.

I like the double bed suite with pull out bed in living room. I enjoyed feeling safe walking around last night, loved how so many business including portos are walking distance. I loved how all four of us were able to shower without hot water running out. I did not like how long the elevators took, how one was broken, how hot it was on the first floor, I didn’t like how kids couldn’t be at pool after a certain time when we are on vacation and paying as much as we did.

Very clean and helpful staff

This Embassy Suite hotel in Downey is getting worse. Heater is not working then informed the front desk, no one came and fix for 3 nights, so cold while sleeping, also room lights are not bright but dark. Yet , water dripping from room air intake filter in the ceiling. Then we just moved to another Embassy Suite hotel next to LAX airport where heater is working, the whole room lights are bright enough. I will not go to Embassy Suite hotel in Downey anymore. More expensive for bad room conditions

They were not very helpful they canceled my reservation with out calling me cause I was late checking in even though they had my credit card to pay for my reservation and did not want to help me an anyway, very sad, this has always been my hotel stay not any more!😔

Clean and easy check in

Easy check in. Early check in fee was very reasonable. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast that is included is always very good and good options.

Great place to stay and lots of options around town walking distance

I liked that some of the staff were friendly. Such as housekeeping and restaurant staff. I like the room layout and that they give you vouchers for breakfast. Love that. Especially traveling afar. I didn’t like the fact that they kept telling me no rooms were clean and available but when a new front desk receptionist came. Told me there was and gave me the key. Why would one tell me one thing and another tell me something different. The rooms are very outdated and old. There was shoes in our room that was not ours. I just think they could do some renovations and deep clean. The elevators took forever and I had to wait a total of 15 min just to get to level one as it seems they don’t have many elevators working. Or not enough for the amount of capacity.

The amenities and spacious rooms. The pool was nice but they didn't have towels. I called twice on Friday 9/18/26 to bring towels and they said housekeeping was behind. I waited 1.5 hrs and left dripping wet with my daughter's (7 and 2 yr old) because we didn't have pool towels. Also, we needed more pillows and blankets in the room.

It needs major updating and a deeper cleaning. The shower curtains were ripped up. The pull out bed was unusable. We had to call 2 people to fix the pull out sofa because it got stuck when my mom tried to pull it out and then it had an unsafe gap after.
