This hotel was built 200 years ago but it is so well maintained. The view of mountains behind it is amazing. Very good and cozy place to stay near acadia national park. Although the hotel is around 60 mins away from the park hotspots but commute is easy. The staff is very friendly too.

Clean rooms, continental breakfast was strictly over at 9:30 & was rather disappointing. It is an older hotel.

I was impressed how sweet and accommodating the staff were. I had to cancel a night because of a NorthEaster. They understood and worked with us. I would recommend the hotel.

Very cool/quaint looking Inn and maintained well. Beds and rooms were comfortable and lacking nothing although the rooms could use a facelift.

The room was very clean and quiet. The staff were very accommodating. We were even given an upgrade for the same price. Really enjoyed our stay.

The property was beautiful. Bar/Pub staff was absolutely amazing, Michael, he took exceptional care of us ( a group of 4 feisty old sisters)! The only hiccup was the double room was down a flight of stairs (no elevator) which was a challenge for one sister to navigate. Over all a Superior place to stay.

Rather disappointed that the continental breakfast contained no bacon or toast. Otherwise, my stay there was fantastic!

The hotel was quiet, as there were only a few other people there the 1 night we stayed. Room was adequately clean, but could use a deep clean, as we had to squish a couple spiders in the bathroom and there were 2 small leaves in the made bed. The only employees we saw were the 1 person sitting at the desk each time we came and left. Each time, they had to be approached before they acknowledged us. Also, the room we had booked touted windows that opened. However, the windows opened to their event space which was an enclosed patio that looked like it was set up for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful, but couldn’t see them from the room. Breakfast was granola bars, prepackaged bowls of cereal, yogurt, slices of coffee cake, milk, orange juice, and coffee. If you have any food sensitivities, you do not have any options.

We booked a room and arrived at check in. We were assigned a room that was completely torn apart. We went back to desk to inform them. They forgot and said that room was supposed to be blocked off. No other rooms available although website showed a Jr. Suite. Left stranded to have to find a place to stay last minute in a remote area. We will not book there again.

I would not recommend this Inn. The grounds and the outside of the building look nice but everything inside is very dated. Our room carpet was very dirty/stained and the fireplace was just a cheap plastic simulated wood that wasn't even plugged in. The breakfast offered was mediocre at best. I would highly recommend not booking this in advance if there's any chance of a change in travel plans. We were stuck overnight in Chicago due to weather shutting down several airports in the east. We were unable to get any replacement flights into Bangor til midnight of the next day. I called Expedia right away to at least cancel the second night of our stay and the Inn refused to accommodate. Our trip would have been much better if we had stayed in southern Maine to start our trip since we had to fly into Manchester. We arrived late on the evening of our second night stay after driving several hours and there wasn't even an upgrade offered as consolation even though the Inn was mostly empty on a Friday night in August. I guess most other travelers already knew this is a property to be avoided. I hope this review can save you the same poor experience we had.

Room was nice but windows opened to an event center, and breakfast was like you would get at a cheap motel. Nicest feature, it was very quiet.
