The Plaza Hotel Columbus at Capitol Square

The censor lights in the bathroom shut off while in the middle of showering. The bathroom was completely dark and I had to keep stepping out of the shower to signal the lights to turn back on. I also had to travel to 4 different floors until I found a working ice machine. Other than that, the stay was okay.

One ice machine worked, most of the ice/vending rooms should be condemned. No hot water for the shower Sunday. My room wasn't as described. The fridge was sitting in the middle of the room. This place was in disrepair and dilapidated. Very poor experience.

Super nice, easy, and accommodating service to all. Very glad to have stayed here and had no issues at all! Hot showers and comfortable beds. Very Clean overall!

Heat didn’t work, staff unresponsive will not book this hotel ever again.

Room was clean but smelled of cigarettes. No hot water one of the days of our stay. No working ice machines. Checked different floors to no avail. Price was right.

Good location in the heart of Downtown Columbus. Staff was helpful and the area seemed safe. The room could have used some updating. The toilet made a high pitch noise about every 15 to 20 minutes which woke us up in the middle of the night. There was no hot water for late morning shower (10 am).

great property, a decent walk from the nationwide arena but good area and helpful staff

The only thing I can say is that the staff were kind and let us try other rooms when the first two were gross and the view was nice. This hotel needs a major renovation and better sound proofing between rooms, my children were so uncomfortable hearing noises from next door.

Sept 2027 Upon arrival the hotel seemed ok, but I was a half hour early and could not get into a room. Disappointing. I got to the room which was clean although the bedsheets looked like they had been balled up prior to putting on the bed. As I settled in I kept hearing a noise and determined the faucet was not dripping - it was on. I attempted to phone the front desk multiple times over the next hour, but never got through to have them send someone. I did try to turn off the water but the handle was broken. I finally played the tv all night to overshadow the noise. Breakfast was not included. Also the parking is a city garage which they told me would be $17 and when I left I was charged $24. At that point I just paid it and left for my meeting. I generally stay at some form of Hilton property but because of an in city event I spent 1 night here. Overall, probably one of the bottom 3 stays of my life

The hotel was decent, it needs to be updated very badly. The check in area needed to be swept as and

$28 for pre-mix old fashioned. Don’t go to the bar.

I dont require much but it was a good stay. Everything worked, room was clean & Mario at the desk was a 10/10. Great value and close to everything

When we arrived, our water was cold. Staff was polite but not very helpful. Hot water eventually got fixed but then it was just scolding hot water. Our toilet was spraying water with every flush. Staff sent someone to fix it and it worked for about 3 flushes, then broke again. Housekeeping only came one day out of our 5 night stay. Food options in and around the hotel were sparse. We heard sirens going off every hour around the hotel but the streets were barren most of the time. There was no microwave in our room and the mini fridge did not work. We will not be staying here again.

Don't let the bad reviews run you off. Air conditioning worked wonderfully and the staff was so helpful. I didn't have a fridge in my room and they gladly brought me one the day i checked in.

Decent Stay for a decent price. Some of the staff were cold, but the front desk staff was friendly. They could definitely improve on their cleanliness, floors constantly covered in dirt and mud and the sink leaked every time i used it.

Pleasant

The room was kinda gross, shower was in bad shape and there wasn't any hot water AT ALL. I wanted to take a shower after my flight but couldn't even do that.
