Very nice rooms and good breakfast

This was a last minute trip to College Station to visit the animal hospital. The property is clean but very dated. The blackout curtains in the room were coming off the track and the closet door was the same. Things really need a refresh.

I had a good check in experience with young gentleman. I had no problems with the stay at all. In fact, the hotel itself is wonderful. However, at checkout, I stood at the desk for a minute or so before I noticed a lady point and say “she’s right there”. I turned around and the “receptionist” was on the couch sleeping with a hoody over her head. I literally had no idea that the lady sitting slumped over on the couch was the lady who worked the front. Scarily. Then, it took her forever to get the computer on while rubbing her eyes looking hung over or like she hasn’t slept in days. It was a good 5 minutes of silence after I gave her my room number so I finally said “am I good?” Then just turned around and left. I was appalled. Then she asked which card to use but the room is clearly already paid for. So I really hope she doesn’t charge me again.

This Hotel was nice place, great room and excellent breakfast. Totally recommended.

Plenty of parking, clean. Was able to get a one hour late checkout. Staff were super friendly. Shower was either scalding hot or lukewarm, no good in between. Breakfast ran out of food,so no eggs or oatmeal available after 8:30. One of the two key cards didn't work. Elevators are very slow. Couldn't find any water bottle fillers so had to try to fill bottles with drinking fountain or use sink.

The 2 ev chargers had the same tesla and a non ev parked there for 20 straight hours. Hotel needs some major updating and breakfast is a straight skip.

Pros; staff was nice. Big rooms. Good location. Plenty of parking. Nice quiet area behind hotel to walk if that’s your thing. Lots of places to eat in walking distance. Cons; rooms need a refresh. Microwave had the wrong glass tray, so it wasn’t very functional and made a lot of noise. Gym sucked. Typically Homewood properties have decent gyms. This one was tiny. No weights no elliptical. Like most hotel breakfasts, it was void of anything for people that have dairy and or gluten restrictions.

I loved the text service for questions. Rooms were super cold in this 100 degree weather. Staff was happy and customer oriented. Broken elevator…I needed the exercise.

We could not check in because the internet was down. We finally had to find another hotel!!!

Quietness and cleanliness

The staff was very helpful especially during breakfast times. The room was clean and everything seemed well maintained. The only negative thing in the room was that the bathroom door did not shut completely, but that was not a big deal. The breakfast was decent, I would recommend more doubles of everything so that lines move faster. Overall the stay was pleasant and I would recommend this Hotel.

Housekeeping only cleans every other day. Found used wash cloth in my shower from last guest.
