A better name would be the Sugarloaf Bunker. We arrived to an overheated building and room at about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Staff did respond to my phone call, but the building was still uncomfortably hot next morning. Very cramped room and small bathroom. It took most of the night to cool the room. Leaf blower started outside our room at 6:45 a.m. Balcony chairs were all broken. Poor sleep. Better luck next time.

I appreciated the helpful staff...instructions checking in..change of reservation...large smoke free king room...and coffee and other amenities...good deal for the off season.

Convenient location, room was clean It got to 43 degrees at night that night that we stayed. There was no heat in the room. Nothing happened when we turned the thermostat on. Since there was no one on duty in the off-season, we had to call the off-hour number. We were told that the heat had not been turned on in the building. We were directed to get a space heater from the linen area which we did. Then we woke up to an 80 degree room from the space heater. In the morning, the water from the shower was barely luke warm. I think that there could be many safety and liability issues with hotel rooms using space heaters as the source of heat. These problems occured not just in our room, but the rooms of my two relatives staying there. I would expect that in Northern Maine, that you would heat the building according to the current temperatures, not some ore-set, arbitrary date. If the heat has been on, with hot running water, it would have been a lovely stay.

The accommodations were clean and cozy. It was just a stopover for us but if ever in the area again we would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Passable
-
Clean and comfortable. No elevator in multi story hotel. No staff at desk (although available by phone) as it was “off season”
-
Wonderful property, clean, quiet, and uncrowded.

The room was not clean. There was no staff or bar and because it was late summer we didn’t get to ski. The bathroom was dirty. The bathtub was dirty. The water had rust coming out of it so we did not want to shower. The man that was upstairs sounded like he was going to fall through our ceiling when he walked across the floor. No one mentioned that there was not an elevator so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. We are an older couple so that was difficult. The restaurant was closed and there was no coffee maker in our room. The whole place looked like it was falling apart. We were extremely over charged for what we got

Basic accomodations, no staff onsite, self check in.

We stayed in the off season (summer) so it was very quiet - it operates as a vacation rental and we didn’t see any staff or barely any other guests. The location and view are absolutely stunning. The property is clean and well maintained but a bit run down and dated, but still quite comfortable, we aren’t fussy. The suite with the loft and the bed and trundle bed was perfect for our family of four.

No one around.

My room was very clean, bed comfortable and TV good, but I was there in off season and never interacted with any in person staff. I was given a phone number to call if I needed a staff person and a code to get into my room. There was no frig or coffee maker in the room. Coffee maker was in the lobby.

Beautiful location. Comfy bed. Trail adjacent.

Great value...for minimal amenities. Only thing was a bathroom sink that drained very slowly.
