Tally Ho Inn

This was our first stay at Tally Ho and really like the place especially the top floor room with an oceanview; big comfortable living area; closeness to restaurants and shopping; free onsite parking; very comfortable bed; and upgraded bathroom. Be ready to carry baggage up many stairs from the garage but staff is available to help if needed. Very enjoyable place. Definitely recommended.

The location is fabulous! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was quaint and quiet. It was very clean! The furnishings were a bit worn and outdated.

Great location, large spacious rooms, nice feel to the hotel, lots of character.

In the heart of the Carmel’s main shopping area, the Talley Ho Inn is geographically desirable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms have views of the ocean and beach that are hard to beat. Quiet surroundings, big comfy bed, with sizable shower too. Personal patio is a nice touch, as well as, private parking which is on point and takes the frustration out of having to find a spot near the busy area. Room interior could stand an upgrade. Some updated furniture, an espresso machine, a microwave and new bar fridge would go a long way towards a 5 star experience. And this is only reason I’m giving the Talley Ho 4 stars.

The hotel is wonderful, location is perfect.

Private deck’s/balconies with views, walking distance to everything in town, parking garage for guests. The second bed was a very uncomfortable roll out sofa.

Great location, close to everything. My only complaint is there are no coffee makers in the rooms. There is coffee in the lobby by 7:15 but I like mine in the room.

Large suite and close to everything. Comfortable bedding the bathroom is not remodeled. Old but functional.

It sometimes may confuse me to where should us to be check in

Great location with easy walking access to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Check-in was rather strange. I had to walk across the street to their sister property (Pine Inn) in order to check in. Our room was nice, but some items need attention like the window tinting peeling/bubbling. It distorted our ocean view.

Can’t wait to go back! Perfect location, beautiful room with living room and 2 bathrooms.

Great location, relaxed feel

Beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom and 2 bath unit with a fireplace! Loved the quaint furnishings and traditional furniture. There is a nice little courtyard with an outdoor fireplace that had a fire going the whole time we were there. Check in was a little confusing as you had to cross the street and walk through a restaurant to check in at the Pine Inn (they did not want you to enter the hotel through the lobby during the day which was a little strange). Staff were very friendly though.
