Candlewood Suites College Station At University by IHG

The room was excellent & well appointed. The kitchenette was appropriately furnished with lite cooking needs & other items were available for check-out from the Borrow Pantry. There’s also a grilling option available. Lots of counter/table/desk space & lots of storage for longer stays. This was a very enjoyable stay. Recommended.

Clean room. Staff wad pleasant but hot tub want open after 9

I loved the location and kitchenette. Bed mattresses aren’t that comfortable and I did not sleep well.

Bathroom floor dirty, Roku tv didn’t work, kitchen faucet makes noise all night

When we arrived, the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. There was hair in the bathtub and a dirty towel stuffed in one of the bathroom drawers. The fitted sheet on one bed had a dark red stain and a piece of plastic stain that had melted and stuck on. The hallway on the second floor had a dehumidifier or portable air conditioner running, and the air felt damp. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we called in these issues -- they sent someone to (re)clean the bathroom and change the sheets -- but the property definitely needs better upkeep.

Dirty

Bathrooms are gross. Grease stains on the doors, dirty grout on the flood, yellowish shower curtain, water damaged walls. They just need to be completed updated. Towels are gross, have a greyish color and need to be replaced. The hallways smell like a trash can. Not sure why. It's a cheap hotel so we didn't expect much but cleanliness is expected. The bed linens were clean and beds comfortable otherwise we would have left.

The door keys do not work so we stay in the room with unlocked door the whole time

Great location if you are in town for a soccer tournament at Veteran’s Park. The fields are right across the street. TXB gas station and Starbucks in the parking lot. Room was clean and AC worked well. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in College Station for a tournament.

Exceptional

The convenient location to the things I was dealing with in college Station. There was a significant odor, to the point, my aunt who was in another room and I got up the next morning and went to Walmart to buy Lysol and disinfectant sprays, probably had a flood from the humidity fans that were there, the floor in my room rooms (yes I said rooms) upon arrival we were hit by the odor in the hall and the odors in the rooms and also my room had severe issues with the Internet and cable not working to the point where I was moved to a separate room upon direct request.

Very good
