A relaxing and peaceful stay. Thank you.

The property is rustic, but reminiscent of the old resort style. The amenities are few compared to, say amenities found at the Hilton Garden Inn in Portland, Maine. The location on the ocean is superb with wonderful views and Customer Service was excellent.

Beautiful setting, well maintained grounds. We arrived to find out that they closed the White Clover restaurant except for the weekend. That was disappointing. The only restaurant they had opened was the Salty Stag. Their food was average.? For the price I would not stay there again. The buildings need some upgrades.

The only issue we had was that the Front Desk does not answer the phone and return messages left regarding a stay. Otherwise, beautiful!

Room spacious, bed comfortable, view wonderful.

We will be back again after our first visit to Spruce Point Inn!

Great location Room was quite dated and had a strong air freshener odor

Spruce Point offers a classic olde Maine Down East experience. Somewhat dated facilities, but charming, well-maintained and clean. Quiet. Spectacular views of Booth Bay. Lovely well-maintained mature plantings and gardens. The ocean-side pool and hot tub areas are special! The service staff were all are polite, personable and pleasantly professional.
-
It is not for those with difficulty walking. There are no railings on the steps to the pool near the bay. There are no railings to get into the hot tub. No railings to step down to the large patio. Lighting along the walkways at night is not sufficient.

Service, lack of amenities advertised and mold in room

Location was nice, they allow dogs for an $85 fee, but dogs can't be left unattended in room. They had a heated pool. They had kayak, paddle board, fishing poles, ~5 bikes you can borrow at no cost. The sheets were very rough, enough for my kids to notice. The guest room we were in, a building with many other rooms, top floor, had a dampness that the AC could not eliminate. Water pressure in shower was not great. Hotels rooms had minimum towels, paper cups, and ill fitting screen door on the balcony. The waters were too choppy for paddle boarding. There were no double kayaks, and the fishing poles were not equipped with lure or bait, and didn't catch anything but seaweed at the docks. The Salty Stag food was good ($$), staff were friendly, but looked like they were a little short staffed. We sat outside because of our dog. The shuffleboard, game room, and dock all looked a bit rustic, not what we expected for $2000 per 3 nights stay.

Only one Word describes this resort… Fantastic
-
Otherwise a nice inn with sufficient parking.
-
Beautiful grounds, great room Restaurant not staffed, had to leave first night because service was so slow
-
The location is impeccable We loved all of it
-
Location Nothing except breakfast service in Salty Stag one am and after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to come over at 10am we left and went to town for breakfast .

The problem comes with the cleanliness and upkeep of the place. Our room was ready when we arrived by they forced us to wait until the dot of check-in time to access it. When we went inside our room, it was obvious the room had been sitting dormant for a while. Two wine glasses were sitting on the floor by a table with caked-on dried wine. On walks around the property, it was obvious some amenity locations were in need of refurbishment but they weren't high-use places so it didn't seem like the staff cared. Overall, you can't beat the location. At one time it was probably the crown jewel of Boothbay but they also appear to be resting on their laurels a bit. I would probably return, but with a bit lower expectations. You're booking it for the views and location.

Very nice location. First time at this place and it looked great on Booking. My wife and I had discussed that it could be a great place for an annual 4th of July trip. However, things did not go as planned. We had booked a stay at the property through booking in April, well in advance for the 4th of July weekend, but when we arrived at the property in the late evening of July 2nd after a long drive, they did not find our reservation, apparently due to the fact that the reservation was made before the hotel opened for the season. Obviously no equivalent room was available and the hotel only could offer a room in the attic (room 8) that according to the manager at the reception was one of the most popular ones but was actually one of the historic rooms that did not have anything in common with the one we had reserved (e.g. no balcony), was very old (‘historic’ as the manager put it) and clearly did not meet our expectation. It even had some pending maintenance work (e.g. door did not close properly). Clearly not appropriate for the approx. $700 / night we had paid including 10% Genius discount. The reaction of the manager on duty very poor as she immediately blamed Booking and her staff, then threatened to kick us off property (as she had incorrectly been briefed by her staff that we had refused to give our credit card which was not accurate, staff had forgotten to swipe it with all the confusion with our reservation). Instead of offering an apology for our inconvenience first, and then trying to find a solution, the manager was immediately defensive and very unfriendly. We were undertstandidly very disappointed and will not return to this hotel ever again as we will always associate it with the 2026 4th of July disaster! The reaction of the Booking Genius hotline was much more professional and they initiated a so-called disruption process and would have paid the cost difference at a different hotel.

It was delicious. There was plenty of food. Maybe a little pricey.
