TV, rugs were rank paint pealing drain in sink slow. I think they are on the verge of addressing things. Notice some renovations in progress other buildings

The bedroom on the living room side didn't smell good

Great time! Tavern food and prices very good. Do wish they had an elevator!

Played the Resort Golf Course. Very rough conditions, but I bet it could be a very good Course, if only they put more effort into maintaining it. My room was very comfortable, and I had a very good dinner at the Tavern's Dining Room.

no elevator to the second/third floor Fire escapes were probably not up to code Now, that being said you will never find nicer waitstaff or front desk or golf personnel anywhere. I wish only that there were personnel cleaning the rooms and making the beds daily. We totally understood during covid but that is not the case anymore. There was staff that could have done that on a daily basis easily. Continental Breakfast was a ten star!

Great location Very overpriced for the quality. The prices are solely based on the fact that there is a golf course, not on the quality of the experiences. My outdated room smelled like a nursing home, had a broken light switch + ceiling fan switch, the remote had no backing, the toilet ran the entire time and the bathroom door was shockingly difficult to close. The sink was brown from the years of the bad water sitting stagnant because drains are undersized/plugged. Takes about 5 minutes for the water from brushing your teeth to drain out. Lastly, that continental breakfast was a joke. I’ve been trying to figure out what about my visit could justify the cost, and I have nothing. Upcharging for an outdated mess is not justified by having a a golf course

The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We would come back

I have to save for months every time I treat myself to a hotel. I don't get to do it often. But I do it for the pool. And I was so excited at 9am when I went to get in the pool, but they were covering it. I tried asking the men covering it, they said nothing. I asked another staff member, they told me to go back out and ask maintenance. I would of gladly rescheduled my booking if I knew that the one thing I was excited for was going to be out of order.

The continental breakfast had a lot of processed foods. Offering better food choices would raise the bar. Bedside table in room was not cleaned from previous stay so that was a bit gross.

The room was all right. There was a fabric chair that had a metal rod sticking out about an inch through the fabric that we noticed. A young child or dog could’ve gotten hurt. There was also a ring of black mold in the bathroom sink that was disgusting. They were two bottles of water on the counter when we arrived. We asked for water for the next two days of our stay and they didn’t have any! The grounds outside were lovely and they do have beautiful flowers and gorgeous view of the mountains.

Quaint and beautiful inn and town.

I like old wooden hotels with some of the eleance and ambience of the past and the Bethel Inn fits this model. Thr rustication kind. It's even ok if the elegance is a little faded but there not much elegance left as they focus on the golf and ski crowd who are not interested in elegance but probably where their money is,. The food in the bar, pub food, was good but not dining. My room in the old part had a good bed and modern bath, but no chair nor desk. For that I maked them down but not too low as i did not call down and demand they sent one up! It did make the room much less comfortable. The staff were very pleasant even though hasseled with a wedding and lots of golfers the weekend I stayed.

Beautiful place but definitely needs updating.

The Bethel Inn is an historic landmark in the Sweet Little town of Bethel… it was a basic room with no refrigerator and the continental breakfast was not very good… Thankfully, there was a wonderful coffee shop/bakery in town called Gemini Café… The food was not very good. We went downstairs for happy hour… Limited beer, selection on tap, and the food was not great… Swimming in the swimming pool with that view however was amazing and anyone who wants to play golf I’m sure would have a good time! Good to say I’ve been there… But not sure I would go back.

Great location in Bethel. This property has so much potential. . . I hope the current owners make the investment. The original Inn building is a lovely old building that needs some upgrades. The pool is wonderful and in good shape, but the decking around it needs work. The golf course looked in good shape, we didn't play this time.

We like the Bethel Inn for its proximity to things we like to do and that it has an onsite restaurant and golf course. However, since new ownership there is a noticeable decline in maintenance to the buildings and outdoor areas with deferred maintenance of wood rot, paint and the golf course looking a bit ragged. During our stay we heard many people discuss issues like a tub that had inches of water in it from a leak, a hot water heater in a condo that wasn’t performing well. We also heard from local sources that the plan was to replace part of the golf course with luxury condos. It’s unfortunate that this would happen. Generally, it felt like the place was being ignored. Front desk staff did not give us good direction to our room (told us 2nd floor when it was first). The ice machine was inoperable and the bedding in our room had stains on it. The Millbrook Tavern, however, was excellent and the food and drinks were very good. We will be back to the Tavern but not sure if the Inn will be on our stay list again.

Some things to note: They did not serve breakfast when we were there on a Friday and were not told that ahead of time that it wouldn’t be an option. We attempted to order poolside one day, and that wasn’t an option either. Housekeeping did not come while we were there. All in all, we did have fun - just communications weren’t great from front desk or website.

I didn’t like that sometimes they would have breakfast and then other days they would not, and when they did sometimes all they had was muffins no meats no eggs

    Decent plan to stay
