Candlewood Suites Bedford Fort Worth by IHG

I love the location. Used to work there back in 1998-2010 when it was first a Mainstay Suites and then Towne Place Suites and both owned by Tharldson. I do not like the no breakfast and added fees for a late checkout.

The beds were comfortable and I guess the room was as clean as housekeeping could could make it. The rooms were just nasty...ragged and WAY beyond anything housekeeping could improve. Then the dresser drawer wouldn't close and the bathroom sink was slow when we arrived and finally stopped up when we left. NO WAY would I go barefoot in there. If you can afford the extra $20 per night, SPEND IT!!

The shower and bed were amazing. Bed pillows were worth the money paid for the room, I slept very well. The hotel staff were very friendly, as well. The furniture and TV was a little dated but functional. There was also an odor in the elevator and building smelled like an older facility.

The rooms definitely need a refresh. Toilet did not function properly and overall conditions are very worn. It was decent enough, but it is overdue for a refresh.

The front desk staff was friendly. The hotel was clean but it didnt look like what I saw online when booking but that was ok. No complementary breakfast but the room rate was low and reasonable for what we had. I would use again. Room amenities were all there and working.

Everything you needed was convenient and near by a few miles of Bedford. What would be nice is to take care of the outside cement walk way. There seemed to be a broken cement ledge when stepping onto the parking lot. It's a trip hazard and for safety reasons please improve the upkeep. Also, new carpet for the 1st floor hallway and rooms. There were too many old and worn out carpet areas. I would strongly recommend a little remodeling to please the guests for well nights stay. For example new paint, fixtures, tile, furnishings, beds, plumbing, decorations, curtains, windows, and landscaping. Just to name a few categories to help improve the visual aesthetics for a more modern feel for future guests.

LOCATION FIRST ROOM SMELT LIKE SMOKE, CHANGED ROOMS EASILY BUT THE ROOM STILL HAD AN ODOR, DOORS WERE FILTHY, EVERY DOOR IN THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BE CLEANED, JUST WALKING DOWN THE HALLWAY YOU CAN SEE THIS. SHOWER DID NOT DRAIN VERY WELL.

This was the worst stays I’ve had. This was a pay up arrival. The hotel took my money out 12 hours before even arriving. I tried to receive at least a discount as half of the amenities did not work and they were apparently not able to switch rooms. The manager Mr. David was terrible and not accommodating at all. Stating the third party took our funds when that was not the case at all. I highly DO NOT recommend staying at this hotel.

Your desk manager is just the best. She always created me with a hello beautiful lady or good afternoon sweetheart. She made my trip so much better. She deserves a raise for sure. She will be the reason I will come back again the rooms were very clean and air conditioned was so needed. Thank you for a great stay
